Real-money poker on Ubuntu and other Distributions

Ubuntu users enjoy one of the most advanced OS available. Ubuntu attract more new users then any other Linux distribution and its market share is growing rapidly. We are Linux freaks and I really hoping for the release of a fully compatible poker site for Linux sooner then later.

In the meantime the following options are available for poker players that want to play poker on their Linux.

1. Use wine - We do not like this option. We like using our Linux for what it is.
If you already have wine install on your Ubuntu, you will be able to play at Party Poker

2. Boot Windows from your Linux - we like this option even less! We do not install Windows on our Linux OS.
If you choose to install windows on your Linux to play poker so you may choose from any of our top-ranked Poker Sites

3. The best option for Linux users is to play the "No download"/"Instant Play" version at their favorite poker site. The "no download" option of the above poker sites provides almost the same experience as the download version.

Our top Pick for Ubuntu poker players is 888Poker. Please note that if you can't play the "Instant Play" mode of 888Poker on ubuntu, then you have to click on "getting started" on the top menu in order to start playing.

All the poker sites in the above table have been checked and tested Using Ubuntu 11+. You will have to install flash in order to play the "Instant Play" version.
